Prepping for 13th Annual Ho-Ho-Ho Readathon

Posted on October 3, 2026October 3, 2026 by cheryl

Just a quick note to mention that I will be taking part in Kimberly’s event at her Caffeinated Reviewer site. If you’d like to read more about or sign up, you can find that information here. The hashtag for this event is #2026HOHOHORAT

What’s It About?

The event is to encourage participants to read holiday or winter books between Wednesday, November 25th through Wednesday, December 17th, 2026.

What Am I Planning to Read?

My plan is to read a variety of types of books: novels, short stories, novellas, children’s books, folk tales, and more.

You can find my current tentative list here.

As a more long-term goal, I would like to read more about other counties and cultures and how/what/why they celebrate over the winter season. I’m just not sure I will have time to cultivate a list.

If you have any to suggest, I would love to hear about them below.

I’m thinking of doing this one. I do have many books that will fit this challenge. Good luck!

I keep a list of books I read that are set in countries around the world. It’s here, if you would like to take a look or even copy it and make it your own: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1_0pibb85CnYFZ580L72SS6VjTyiNMeRJjpxeosesMCk/edit?usp=sharing

Thanks for the visit and for mentioning your lists. Your lists are

  fabulous

and I plan to use several of them!

When I get around to starting them, I will be making a post here and telling people about your great blog.

Your countries around the world list goes well with another dormant project of mine that I want to resurrect (it’s a cooking goal).
The Classics are also something I am very interested in, but I just can’t commit right now. I started the 2026 challenges very late 🙂
