My review – 4/5 Stars (originally posted on GoodReads)
It sure was a lot of fun to catch back up with Melanie, Angie and Tate – best friends and business partners of Fairy Tale Cupcakes. There was more “romance” in this book than I typically like in my cozies, but it worked for me here. Perhaps the Valentine theme of the book helped out there. The mystery was good, but it really played second fiddle for me to everything else going on. I was just having a good time reading and wasn’t really working hard to try to figure out who had done in Baxter. I thought the cupcake classes for couples was a cute idea and enjoyed the characters who were involved in it. I also loved that Mel’s mom was in this book so much. She cracks me up and I like the interactions between her and Mel. My favorite addition to the series was Marty, however. What a hoot he is! I really hope he stays around for future installments. Over all, there was just a lot of fun stuff happening in this book.
